Files and document contents
MergePDF uses browser-side PDF libraries to read your selected PDFs, inspect page counts, create previews, and produce the merged file. The files and generated output remain on your device unless you choose to share them using another application. The app does not intentionally transmit the document content to us.
Network requests
The page loads its HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from the website host. It also loads PDF processing libraries from a content delivery network. Those services may receive ordinary request metadata, such as your IP address and browser information, as part of delivering the requested resources. The app needs internet access to load these libraries; document merging itself happens locally.
Analytics and cookies
This version of MergePDF does not require an account and does not use a MergePDF sign-in cookie. If the hosting platform, RuntimeHub, or a future deployment adds analytics, advertising, or other third-party services, their own policies may also apply. We recommend keeping this section aligned with the services actually enabled on the live deployment.
Retention and control
Because the selected PDFs are processed in your browser, MergePDF does not maintain a server-side library of the documents you merge. Clearing or closing the page ends the current workspace. A downloaded output remains wherever you save it.
Children and sensitive material
MergePDF is a general-purpose file utility, not a document storage service. Use a device and browser you trust when handling confidential files, and avoid sharing sensitive documents when asking for support.
Updates
This policy may be updated when the product or its hosting changes. The published version on this page is the version that applies to this site.
